Midsummer time
Even if I am tired and sometime is bleeding, I enjoy my life as much as I can. My disease is not going to own my life, I, alone own my life!
In Sweden we celebrate Midsummer and last week it was time. This day is always celebrated on a Friday, so the weekend feels really long. Where I work, we are lucky enough to have the day off.
The weather was on our side this year, most of the time of Midsummer it rains and can be a bit cold. The whole family was gathered, playing, eating and laughing. The kids had a wonderful time, and the dogs was running around free the whole day.
I am so grateful that I was well enough to be a part of the celebration, Its not always the case. I hope this will be a new tradition. When I am in this company I can lay down and rest when needed.
Paying bills
Most people think paying bills is something that you have to do, and they are not wrong. It can be difficult when the money you get is not enough when its time to pay the bills. Still, I think paying bills is something I like to do.
You might wonder why I am grateful for having the possibility to pay the bills and I understand where it comes from. For me it means that I can have a roof over my head, a warm house to live in and food on the table. I am lucky to have enough money to save someof it, and to bye things that I want without feeling distress over the cost. Off course there are things that I cannot afford but I can make up a plan and save the money needed for the actuation or the things that costs a bit more than I have.
When I was younger, I sacrificed a lot to get what I wanted. When I was about twenty years old, I bought a horse. I worked part time, lived in a small and rented house in the country. I had to have a car to get to work. I also had two birds, a cat, a rabbit and two rats. I had no money for proper food for myself. Luckily, I could eat at work and in the weekend, I went to my father’s house, and I used to get some food there while wasching my clothes. Strangely it worked. All my animals had everything they needed. In time I got another, fulltime job so I got a bit more money which was good. I would not recommend living like that, it’s not healthy and today I know, without health, you can’t live life fully.
Positive attitude
I think I was born with a positive attitude. I strongly believe that everything always works out as it should in the end. Everything happens for a reason. Off course things don’t go as planned all the time, and it sometime hurts a lot. When that happens, I think there is something to learn from that situation. This attitude has also made me take some leaps of faith, jumping out into the unknown without a safety net. Somewhere I knew everything is going to be all right. This mentality has taken me to where I am today, having a job that I love, an exciting journey ahead and the best family there is to find.
Sometimes I wonder what my life would have looked like without the way I am mentally. Where would I be? Would I even have a life, or would I be to sick to live life as I am today?
I wonder if attitudes are changeable and how can someone with a negative attitude change to a more positive approach to all the ups and downs that life gives you?
Life is a gift, and I am grateful for the life I have been given. I know my choices have made it possible. I will keep on listening to what my gut feeling has to say about the choices that lies ahead in my life. It has guided me on the right path this far and I trust it to do that in the future to.
